Softball Recap: Hendersonville Comes Up Short

After flying high against Asheville on Monday, Hendersonville came back down to earth. The Bearcats lost 15-6 to the Mountain Heritage Cougars on Wednesday. The Bearcats haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Alexis Pearson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more RBI the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ruby Fisher, who went 3-for-4 with two runs.

Hendersonville's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Mountain Heritage, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Cougars beat Hendersonville by a score of 23-8 later that day.
