Soccer Game Preview: Edinburg North vs. Canyon

Edinburg North is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over Hanna. It was an even better day for Allison Andrade as she scored four goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Canyon came tearing into Thursday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 goals), and they left with even more momentum. Their defense stepped up to hand the Rams a 3-0 shutout. Given Canyon's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 134th, while Del Rio are ranked 414th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory got Edinburg North back to even at 9-9-1. As for Canyon, their win bumped their record up to 13-6-6.
