Softball Recap: Cordova Takes a Loss

Cordova lost against Northside last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cordova Blue Devils came up short against the Northside Rams, falling 11-1.

Cordova saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Camden Johnson, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Cordova's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Northside, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4-1 record this season.

Cordova will be playing in front of their home fans against Good Hope at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Cordova is on a three-game streak of home wins, Good Hope a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. As for Northside, they will face off against Milton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Northside knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Milton likes a good challenge.
