Football Recap: Neshaminy Skins vs. Emmaus Hornets
Neshaminy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 20-17 victory over the Emmaus Hornets.
Neshaminy found their leader in underclassman Nahsir Moore, who rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries.
One reason for the win was Neshaminy's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Shaakir Whiting was especially locked on to Emmaus' QB and sacked him twice. Whiting's also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up two sacks and making three total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Neshaminy will square off against Council Rock North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Emmaus, they will look to take advantage of their home-field for the first time this season as they take on Bethlehem Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
