Baseball Recap: Tavares Takes a Loss

Tavares was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 10-3 to the Mount Dora Hurricanes. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their loss to the Hurricanes from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Tavares saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jesse Berding, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That stolen base marked the first that Berding snagged this season.

Tavares' defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Mount Dora, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.

While Tavares had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
