After a string of three wins, Smithtown West's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Connetquot T-Birds by a score of 1-0. Smithtown West was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Connetquot apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2021.

Smithtown West's defeat dropped their record down to 17-4-2. As for Connetquot, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-2-1 record this season.
