San Ramon Valley is 7-2 against Monte Vista since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Wolves will look to defend their home court against the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. The timing is sure in San Ramon Valley's favor as the squad sits on seven straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Monte Vista has been banged up by 12 consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

On Thursday, San Ramon Valley beat Dougherty Valley 3-1.

San Ramon Valley had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-22, 25-23, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Monte Vista came into Thursday's contest having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They won by a set and slipped past De La Salle 3-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Monte Vista was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (115-107), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 19-25, 29-27, 26-24, 16-14.

Monte Vista's win bumped their record up to 2-12. As for San Ramon Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 20-7.
