Baseball Recap: Northside Methodist Academy Takes a Loss

Northside Methodist Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss. They fell 14-10 to the New Brockton Gamecocks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gamecocks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in March.

Chase Collins was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple was his first of the season. Brody Black was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Northside Methodist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-20. As for New Brockton, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.

Northside Methodist Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for New Brockton, they will take on Satsuma at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
