Soccer Recap: Vicksburg Takes a Loss

Vicksburg managed to keep up with Columbus until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Vicksburg Gators came up short against the Columbus Falcons, falling 4-1. The Gators were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

Vicksburg's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9-1. As for Columbus, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-8 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vicksburg will host Warren Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Warren Central will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Vicksburg surely won't give up without a fight. As for Columbus, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ridgeland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
