Football Recap: Savannah Country Day Falls to Charlotte Country Day School in First Game of Season

Savannah Country Day unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 28-10 bruising from the Charlotte Country Day School Buccaneers on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 247th in Georgia, while the Buccaneers are ranked 108th in North Carolina).

Even if they lost, Savannah Country Day's defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Charlotte Country Day School's QB won't forget Hayes Beaver anytime soon given he sacked him twice.
