Basketball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson lost against Woodside back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Jefferson Grizzlies took a 45-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Woodside Wildcats. The Grizzlies' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Woodside, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson will welcome Hillsdale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jefferson is facing Hillsdale at the right time seeing as Hillsdale is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Woodside, they will host Menlo-Atherton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Menlo-Atherton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Woodside likes a good challenge.
