Recap: Incline Highlanders vs. Yerington Lions
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Incline Highlanders had no problem doing just that on Friday. They strolled past the Lions with points to spare, taking the game 61-47. The win was a breath of fresh air for Incline as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Tommy Williams was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 23 points, nine rebounds, and ten assists. Jayden Abbate was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kp Picotte jr, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Colby Rowe, who scored ten points.
Incline's victory bumped their record up to 19-7. As for Yerington, their loss dropped their record down to 18-10.
Incline and West Wendover will face off on February 17th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. West Wendover will roll in looking for their 19th straight win, something Incline surely won't give up without a fight. Yerington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
