Basketball Recap: Middletown Christian Comes Up Short

Middletown Christian lost against West Jefferson back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Middletown Christian Eagles came up short against the West Jefferson Roughriders, falling 63-40.

West Jefferson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Evan Switalski, who went 7 of 12 en route to 20 points. Those 20 points gave Switalski a new career-high. Memphis Book also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Middletown Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for West Jefferson, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-8.

Middletown Christian has already played their next game, a 40-39 defeat against Miami Valley on the 31st. As for West Jefferson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-39 loss against Fairbanks on the 31st.
