Baseball Preview: Forest Hills Rangers vs. Central Cambria Red Devils
The Forest Hills Rangers will face off against the Central Cambria Red Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
Forest Hills fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Derry on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. That's two games in a row now that the Rangers have lost by exactly three runs.
Koy McGough made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Layne Sivec was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, Central Cambria made easy work of Cambria Heights on Friday and carried off a 16-6 win. The victory continues a trend for the Red Devils in their matchups with the Highlanders: they've now won six in a row.
