Cyprus not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since May 8, 2024. They were the clear victor by a 14-1 margin over the Park City Miners. For the Pirates, this counts as revenge for the 7-6 win the Miners walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Cyprus got a great performance from Alex Larsen as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Easton Anderson was a standout: he scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Rene Hidalgo, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

The victory made it two in a row for Cyprus and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Park City, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Cyprus has already played their next matchup, a 10-0 defeat against Desert Hills on the 7th. As for Park City, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-2 win against Salem Hills on the 8th.
