Baseball Recap: Hope Takes a Loss

Hope was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Camden Fairview Cardinals, falling 13-0. The Bobcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Cardinals from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Hope saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Johnson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Hope's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Camden Fairview, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hope will welcome De Kalb at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bears' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Bobcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Camden Fairview, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Prescott at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
