Softball Preview: Westview Chargers vs. Halls Tigers        
        
		
            
 The Westview Chargers will look to defend their home field  on Friday against the Halls Tigers at 5:00  p.m. Westview is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.5  runs per game  this season.
 Westview is hoping to deliver their fans another blowout  on Friday, just like they did against Milan (and have done all season long). Everything went Westview's way against Milan on Thursday as Westview made off with  a  12-2 victory. 12 seems to be a good number for Westview as the  team scooped up a  win with the same number of  runs in their previous game.
  McCall Simms made a splash no matter where she played. She  struck out 12 batters over  5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off   six  hits. Simms has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in nine consecutive pitching appearances. Simms was even better at the plate,  going 4-for-4 with a  home run, five  RBI,  and three  runs.
 In other batting news,  Alexis Evans was  excellent,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-3.  Sarah Byars was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Halls came up short against West Carroll on Tuesday and fell  7-4.
 The  victory  made it two in a row for Westview and  bumps their season record up to 9-6. As for Halls, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
