Basketball Game Preview: Monument Valley Cougars vs. Many Farms Lobos

The Monument Valley Cougars will take on the Many Farms Lobos at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Monument Valley easily dispatched Monticello last Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Monument Valley fell just short of Shiprock by a score of 43-41 on Thursday.

Dakotah Cly put forth a good effort for the losing side as she posted 15 points. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Shikeeya Hudson was another key player, putting up ten points.

Meanwhile, Many Farms lost to St. Johns at home by a 50-36 margin on Tuesday.

Monument Valley has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points per game. As for Many Farms, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 15-6.
