Baseball Recap: Cherokee Washington Takes a Loss

Cherokee Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto/Charter Oak-Ute. The Braves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto/Charter Oak-Ute apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in June of 2024.

Cherokee Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto/Charter Oak-Ute, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

Looking ahead, Cherokee Washington will head out on the road to square off against Estherville Lincoln Central at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto/Charter Oak-Ute, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hinton at 7:30 p.m. on the 30th.
