 The Cathedral Catholic Dons will head out on the road to  square off against  the Academy of Our Lady of Peace Pilots at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. Cathedral Catholic is coming into the  game hot, having won their last five games.
 Cathedral Catholic can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent  matchup  on Wednesday. They blew past Clairemont 10-0. With that  victory, Cathedral Catholic brought their scoring average up to 6.4  runs per game.
 Cathedral Catholic got a great performance from  Mimi Botticelli as she  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only two  hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Botticelli has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  a single  earned run in three consecutive pitching appearances.

 Meanwhile, Academy of Our Lady of Peace came up short against Olympian on Thursday and fell  8-4.

Ma'ake was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Alayna Ma'ake was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 1-for-2 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 Cathedral Catholic's win was  their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 11-2. Those good results were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.7 runs per game. As for Academy of Our Lady of Peace, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5-1.
 The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Friday as both teams have some strikeout artists on the roster.
