Carbondale takes loss despite strong efforts from Jaxon Marlow-evans and Decarl Payne

Recap: Carbondale Terriers vs. Harrisburg Bulldogs

The Carbondale Terriers pushed their score all the way to 65 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 66-65 to Harrisburg. Carbondale's defeat continues a unfortunate trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Decarl Payne and Jaxon Marlow-evans certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Payne scored 22 points, while Marlow-evans scored 19 points. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for him. Henry Harsy was another key contributor, scoring eight points.

Carbondale has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Harrisburg, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with that win, which was their third straight at home.

Carbondale's road trip will continue as they head out to face Triad at 4:30 p.m. on December 27th. Triad is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. Harrisburg and Hamilton County will round out the year against one another at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at. Hamilton County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
