Soccer Game Preview: Freeport vs. Guilford + How To Watch

Freeport hasn't had much luck against Guilford recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Pretzels will look to defend their home pitch against the Vikings at 6:30 p.m.

Freeport is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Boylan Catholic on Thursday. The Pretzels took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Freeport's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Guilford waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the J-Hawks. Given Guilford's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 14th, while Jefferson are ranked 108th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Freeport's loss dropped their record down to 6-5-2. As for Guilford, their win bumped their record up to 12-1-1.
