McDonogh wins going away against Gilman

Recap: McDonogh Eagles vs. Gilman Greyhounds

The McDonogh Eagles won the last time they faced the Gilman Greyhounds, and things went their way on Saturday too. McDonogh enjoyed a cozy 21-7 win over Gilman. Given McDonogh's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland football rankings (they are ranked sixth, while Gilman is ranked 43rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

McDonogh's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chase Green, who rushed for 170 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Jefferson Exinor jr, who picked up 120 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

McDonogh is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Gilman, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

McDonogh will be playing in front of their home fans against Mount St. Joseph at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Gilman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
