Basketball Recap: Marshall Academy Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Barry County Christian, Marshall Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 47-39 win over the Jackson Preparatory & Early College Falcons. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 59-54 on January 7th.

Marshall Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jordan Patterson led the charge by dropping a double-double on 15 points and 15 boards. Patterson has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Oscar Melendez was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 12 points and nine assists.

Despite the defeat, Jackson Preparatory & Early College saw an underclassman step up: freshman Alex Oliver posted 24 points.
