            Baseball Recap: Easthampton/Hampshire Eagles vs. South Hadley Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            Easthampton/Hampshire came into Monday's   match having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the South Hadley Tigers  a   3-0 shutout  on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played  back in May of 2024.
 Patrick Larson was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in two of his three plate appearances with two  stolen bases and one  run.

 Larson wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Jason Sigda, who  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base and one  run. Sigda is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last seven games he's  played.  Ethan Mullaly was another,  going 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases and one  run.
Easthampton/Hampshire picked up their first home  victory, bumping their record up to 2-9. As for South Hadley, they now  have a losing record of 5-6.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Easthampton/Hampshire will head out to  square off against Hopkins Academy  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for South Hadley, they will face off against Monson at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
