Churchill County is a perfect 10-0 against Spring Creek since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Greenwave will host the Spartans at 3:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Churchill County and seven for Spring Creek.

Churchill County is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Lowry, who was ranked 12th at the time (Churchill County was ranked 19th). The Greenwave came up short against the Buckaroos on Saturday, falling 12-2. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Greenwave couldn't push the score so high this time.

Sutton Yost made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.

Fernley hit Spring Creek with a six-run sixth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Spartans lost 14-1 to the Vaqueros. Surprisingly, this marked the Spartans' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Spring Creek saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was MacKenzie Morfin, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Churchill County's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Spring Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-15.

Churchill County took their win against Spring Creek in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 7-1 score. Do the Greenwave have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spartans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
