Soccer Recap: American Leadership Academy Takes a Loss

American Leadership Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Batesburg-Leesville Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to American Leadership Academy of the 7-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Evan Steffee, who's now up to five this season.

American Leadership Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Batesburg-Leesville, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Coming up, American Leadership Academy will venture away from home to square off against Horse Creek Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Horse Creek Academy's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. We've got a battle between Panthers coming up.
