Blue Ridge gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They managed a 34-28 victory over the Flint Hill Huskies. The win was familiar territory for the Barons, who have now won 12 games in a row dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blue Ridge is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Virginia Episcopal School at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. This will be the Barons' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Flint Hill, they will challenge Woodberry Forest at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
