Soccer Game Preview: Denton vs. Colleyville Heritage

The Denton Broncos will take on the Colleyville Heritage Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Denton will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Colleyville Heritage better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Denton really get things going. Denton's defense stepped up to hand Grapevine a 3-0 shutout on Friday. The Broncos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by three goals or more this season.

Joel Rodriguez and Chris Guillen scored all three of Denton's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 25 goals.

Meanwhile, Colleyville Heritage has been on a difficult stretch since their win on January 3. They and Argyle finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Friday.

Denton's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-0-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. Colleyville Heritage's draw gives them a new season record of 1-4-3.

Denton took their win against Colleyville Heritage in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 4-1. Does Denton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Colleyville Heritage turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
