If the Rural Vista [Hope/White City] Heat were riding high off their 39-8 takedown of the Centre Cougars last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Rural Vista [Hope/White City] suffered a rough 54-31 defeat at the hands of Goessel on Friday. Rural Vista [Hope/White City] has struggled against Goessel recently, as their match on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Kambyl Riedy and Bailey Rapp certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Riedy scored six points along with nine rebounds, while Rapp scored five points. That's the first time this season that Riedy pulled down eight or more rebounds.
Rural Vista [Hope/White City]'s loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Goessel, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Rural Vista [Hope/White City] will head out on the road to face off against Elyria Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Elyria Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Goessel will be home for the holidays to greet Peabody-Burns at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Peabody-Burns comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
