Soccer Game Preview: Wylie East vs. Horn

The Wylie East Raiders will face off against the Horn Jaguars on Monday. Wylie East is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.

Wylie East is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Tyler Legacy 2-1. Two seems to be a good number for Wylie East as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Hannah Warren and Sophie Preston scored both of Wylie East's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 19 goals.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Horn made sure to put some goals up on the board against Copperas Cove on Thursday. They blew past the Bulldawgs 5-0. Considering Horn have won eight games by more than four goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Horn has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 47 goals over those ten contests. Wylie East's victory bumped their record up to 17-2-1.
