Softball Recap: Bowie Comes Up Short

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Bowie was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They came up short against the Detroit Eagles, falling 12-2. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 11-2.

Bowie saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alleyah Franco, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs. That home run marked the first that Franco has launched this season.

Bowie now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Detroit, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 16-5.

As of now, neither Bowie nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
