Basketball Recap: Owyhee Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

Owyhee had won two straight road games and Rolando Espitia did his part to make it three on Friday. The Owyhee Braves took down the Lund Mustangs 63-47 thanks in part to Espitia, who went 7 for 13 on his way to 19 points in addition to five assists and four steals. His evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Owyhee is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-13 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.9 points per game. As for Lund, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.

Owyhee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 44-28 loss against Eureka on the 1st. Lund has also already played their next match, a 54-8 victory against Carlin on the 1st.
