Baseball Preview: Bowie Bulldogs vs. Westlake Chaparrals
The Bowie Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Westlake Chaparrals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, everything went Bowie's way against Akins as Bowie made off with a 7-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Bowie.
Bowie got a great performance from Cole Miller as he didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out nine over six innings pitched. Miller has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive pitching appearances.
On the hitting side, Josh Gonzales was excellent, going 1-for-3 with a triple, two RBI, and a run.
Meanwhile, Westlake never let their opponents score on Friday. They beat Austin by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-0.
