Softball Recap: Glendale Prep Academy Comes Up Short

Glendale Prep Academy fell victim to Kingman Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 6-0 to the Tigers. The Griffins' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Raegan Rockey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Glendale Prep Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Natalie Whipple, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Glendale Prep Academy now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Kingman Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4-1 record this season.
