Basketball Game Preview: Mississippi School for the Deaf Bulldogs vs. West Lincoln Bears

Mississippi School for the Deaf hasn't had much luck against West Lincoln recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Mississippi School for the Deaf Bulldogs will venture away from home to square off against the West Lincoln Bears at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Mississippi School for the Deaf is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 83-13 loss at the hands of Piney Woods. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-4.

Tyler Thomas put forth a good effort for the losing side as he posted six points.

Meanwhile, West Lincoln lost to Puckett on the road by a 61-43 margin on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now lost six in a row.

West Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Mississippi School for the Deaf, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Mississippi School for the Deaf took a serious blow against West Lincoln when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 84-39. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Mississippi School for the Deaf was down 44-18.
