            Softball Preview: LaSalle Tigers vs. Pineville Rebels        
        
		
        
        
            The LaSalle Tigers are taking a road trip to  take on the Pineville Rebels  at 2:00  p.m.  on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as LaSalle comes in on 15 and Pineville on three.
Last Tuesday, LaSalle got the win against Harrisonburg  by a conclusive  16-1. Considering the Tigers have won 24 contests by more than five  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
Meanwhile,  it may have taken  nine innings to finish the job, but Pineville ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Tuesday. They came out on top against Natchitoches Central by a score of  5-1.
 Addalyn Burch spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in eight consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Cassidy Sicuro, who  scored two  runs while going 3-for-5. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of  Chelsie Simpson, who  got four  hits from her five  at bats.
 Sicuro wasn't the only one making solid contact: Pineville  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Natchitoches Central only managed six  hits.
 LaSalle pushed their record up to 29-4 with the  victory, which was their tenth straight  at home. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Pineville, their record is now 30-5.
