Baseball Recap: Opp Gets the Win

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Opp ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They came out on top against the Rehobeth Rebels by a score of 6-3. For the Bobcats, this counts as revenge for the 12-3 win the Rebels walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2021.

The team relied heavily on Grady Patterson, who scored a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

The victory made it two in a row for Opp and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs over those games. As for Rehobeth, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Opp and Rehobeth will both be playing Charles Henderson the next time they take the field. Opp will head out to face Charles Henderson at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, while Rehobeth will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
