Volleyball Recap: Waterloo's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Waterloo entered their tilt with Okawville on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Rockets. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rockets, too.

Waterloo never let Okawville on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-23.

Waterloo had a senior duo take command as Ellie Zweigart had 15 digs and one assist and Ellie Day had 13 assists and five digs. Day has been hot, having posted 13 or more assists the last eight times she's played.

Waterloo's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Okawville, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-2.

After both having extra time off, Waterloo and Mater Dei will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Okawville, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Pinckneyville on the 4th.
