Football Game Preview: Westwood Redhawks vs. Lugoff-Elgin Demons + How To Watch

The Westwood Redhawks will take on the Lugoff-Elgin Demons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Westwood will be strutting in after a victory while Lugoff-Elgin will be coming in after a defeat.

Westwood's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Spring Valley 31-0. The result was nothing new for the Redhawks, who have now won four games by 31 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Lugoff-Elgin's offense. They lost 26-0 to Ridge View on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 42 points in the game before, the Demons' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Westwood pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.7 points on average over those games. As for Lugoff-Elgin, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Westwood didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Lugoff-Elgin when the teams last played back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 30-24 win.
