2A Colorado recap Oct. 30, 2012
Kent Denver extended the longest winning streak in 2A Colorado this week by beating Manual, 48-0. The win marks ninth in a row for the the Sun Devils.
Bennett led the league in scoring this week after putting up 73 points on Sheridan. Tommy Tintorri ran for 146 yards and caught one passes for 38 yards in the win.
Brandon Martinez was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 169 yards on 22 carries as Denver West bested the Thunderbolts. Teammate Brandon Arnold added to the ground attack by rushing for 42 yards.
Joshua Miller put up the best numbers through the air as the Tigers beat the Rams. He finished with one completions for 38 yards and one touchdown.
Pettyjohn was the best wideout in 2A Colorado this week as Scott Yates' team defeated Manual. Pettyjohn tallied one reception for 55 yards. Luke Wilson helped Kent Denver's passing attack out by catching one ball for 11 yards.
Branden Kielty made the biggest impact on defense this week as Bennett beat Sheridan. The senior recorded two fumbles and racked up one sack.
On the ground, the Sun Devils' Jaden Franklin has rushed for 1416 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Pettyjohn. The Kent Denver star has nine catches for 311 yards.
