Basketball Recap: Old Town Comes Up Short

Old Town lost against Ellsworth on December 5th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Old Town Coyotes fell to the Ellsworth Eagles 48-43. While losing is never fun, the Coyotes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Eagles are ranked eighth).

Old Town has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Ellsworth, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

While Old Town had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
