Volleyball Game Preview: Columbia City Eagles vs. East Noble Knights

The Columbia City Eagles will face off against the East Noble Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Columbia City will be strutting in after a victory while East Noble will be coming in after a loss.

East Noble will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Columbia City extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Eagles came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against Huntington North. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since March 24th.

Columbia City was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 17-25, 23-25, 25-10, 15-12.

Meanwhile, East Noble lost 3-0 to New Haven on Wednesday. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While East Noble ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-23, 25-19.

East Noble's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Columbia City, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.

Columbia City beat East Noble 3-1 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
