Baseball Recap: Oasis Christian Finds Home Field Redemption Against City of Life Christian Academy

There's no place like home for Oasis Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over the City of Life Christian Academy Warriors on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Lions needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.

Kason Zurowski made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Zurowski was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that he stole this season.

In other batting news, Oasis Christian got a big performance out of Michael Gonzalez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI and one stolen base. Those RBI marked the first that Gonzalez brought in this season. Gabriel Dutheil was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Oasis Christian hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as City of Life Christian Academy struck out nine times.

The win got Oasis Christian back to even at 2-2. As for City of Life Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Oasis Christian has already played their next contest, a 22-5 loss against Keswick Christian on the 21st. As for City of Life Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-0 defeat against Geneva on the 25th.
