Basketball Recap: East Takes a Loss

East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 70-33 loss at the hands of the Ursuline Fighting Irish. While losing is never fun, East can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 554th, while Ursuline is ranked 21st).

East's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Ursuline, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 13-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East will head out to face off against Brush at 2:15 p.m. on Sunday. As for Ursuline, they will head out on the road to take on Archbishop Hoban at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Ursuline's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 13 games.
