Little River Academy came tearing into Tuesday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by the Rogers Eagles to the tune of 65-22. Given the Bumblebees' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while the Eagles are ranked 672nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Rogers still got an impressive performance from Kyra Yates, who posted seven points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Alaina Mungia, who put up five points and five boards.

Little River Academy pushed their record up to 21-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.2 points per game. As for Rogers, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-10.

Little River Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-9 victory against C.H. Yoe on the 17th. As for Rogers, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 71-23 loss against Franklin on the 17th.
