Basketball Recap: Lefors Takes a Loss

Lefors was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 64-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Shamrock Irish. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pirates of the 54-38 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2025.

Shamrock got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jace Moon out in front who went 5-for-8 en route to 14 points. Kyle Ishee was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 14 points and nine boards.

Lefors' loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Shamrock, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11.

Coincidentally, Lefors and Shamrock will both be playing McLean the next time they take the court. The Pirates will head out to face the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Irish will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
