Volleyball Recap: Southwest Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Southwest entered their tilt with Hurley on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Tigers 3-0. For the Trojans, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Southwest not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Hurley between 15 and 18 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-18, 25-15.

Southwest's win bumped their record up to 11-16-3. As for Hurley, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Coming up, Southwest will head out to square off against McDonald County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hurley, they will be playing at home against Galena at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Tigers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
