Basketball Game Preview: Dobyns-Bennett Indians vs. Daniel Boone Trailblazers

The Dobyns-Bennett Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Daniel Boone Trailblazers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Dobyns-Bennett lost to Science Hill on the road by a 54-37 margin.

Meanwhile, Daniel Boone played a tough matchup on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Watauga, falling 91-65. While losing is never fun, the Trailblazers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 109th in Tennessee, while the Pioneers are ranked 24th in North Carolina).

This is the second loss in a row for Daniel Boone and nudges their season record down to 10-12. As for Dobyns-Bennett, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.

Dobyns-Bennett came up short against Daniel Boone in their previous meeting back in January, falling 59-49. Can Dobyns-Bennett avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
