After a string of three wins, Palmetto Ridge's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against the Golden Gate Titans, falling 74-54. The Bears were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Titans earlier this season, when they won 56-38.

When it comes to explaining why Palmetto Ridge lost, don't look at Juju Castillo. Despite the final result, he went 5 of 10 on his way to 13 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. Judah Lopez was another key player, going 5 for 10 en route to 12 points and six rebounds.

Golden Gate's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sam Powell, who posted 23 points along with seven assists and six boards. The contest was Powell's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kenson St.Fort, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 15 points and five assists.

Palmetto Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Golden Gate, their record now sits at 7-12.

Palmetto Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-50 victory against Naples on the 16th. Golden Gate has also already played their next match, a 58-51 win against Immokalee on the 16th.
